Guest guest
Lane, Thank you for your help. Is the 1.5% an increase in total charges? Meaning, 1.5% of what Medicare allows for all procedures and modalities performed on the patient? It is an easy process regarding the paperwork. We are only documenting a little more specifically in regards to actual dosages of medications (based on pt report or copying down from their med bottles, if remembered by the pt) and the number of falls. We already asked the questions prior to the Bonus Program, but are now making the information more prominent by documenting the information in the evaluation in its own area and on the questionnaires available on the CMS website. The slow down is in the filling out of the questionnaires: pt name, MR#, DOB, date of eval, male/female, PT MCare number, and the code for " billing " that you actually asked the questions. THis is not too much slow down. Only a minute or two. Lane Blondheim, PT, MT Active Health and Rehab Montgomery, AL > > Is anyone participating in the Medicare 1.5% Bonus Program? Guest guest
Also, I understand that the 1.5% is also subject to a cap. Do you know what that cap amount is? Thanks again From: PTManager [mailto:PTManager ] On Behalf Of Lane Blondheim Sent: Thursday, January 17, 2008 4:03 AM To: PTManager Subject: Re: MEDICARE 1.5% BONUS PROGRAM Diane, We have decided to participate in the Bonus Program. Guest guest
We have doing the Fall risk assessment (1100F/1101F) since July and don't find it time consuming. We started doing the Patient co-development of treatment & Pain assessment(G8437 & G84440) at the beginning of this month. It's a little more work inputting the codes for billing but the therapists are not complaining and everyone is participating.
