Job Description: Position # 1: Medical Officer Key qualifications: • Medical Graduate, MBBS, or MD from MCI recognized University in India • At least three (3) years clinical experience and HIVAIDS treatment experience would be an added advantage, in clinic or in NGO setting. • Must posses an adequate computer skills including use of internet/ e-mail application and MS-Office software, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.; • Ability to meet deadlines and to manage multiple priorities while working as part of a team; • Team player service-minded and able to work under pressure; Roles and Responsibilities: • Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Conduct medical care services on time Conduct medical examinations for clients and fill intake forms • Order for laboratory investigation, review laboratory test results and other related medical reports • Authorizes refills for medications. • Completes diagnosis forms and document examination, notes, follow up notes and other relevant forms in a timely manner. • Reviews charts and performs peer reviews as assigned. • Conduct in house clinical and medical training sessions and CME programs for staff • Participate in clinical case conference of HIV Physicians from time to time. Position # 2: Nurse Key Qualifications: 1. Graduate in GNM. 2. At least 2 to 3 years experience working in nursing care in hospital or clinics 3. An experience in nursing care for HIVAIDS patients would be recommended. 4. Must posses an adequate computer skills including use of internet/ e-mail application and MS-Office software, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.. 5. Ability to meet deadlines and to manage multiple priorities while working as part of a team. 6. Team player service-minded and able to work under pressure. Roles and Responsibilities: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Provide nursing services to the patients at the clinic. • Assist doctor with day to day clinical operations by checking vitals, assisting with clinical examinations, dressings etc • Assist doctor in providing for referrals for additional medical services • Conducts individual and group education sessions on providing basic nursing care for HIV patients. • Conduct hands on training on nursing skills for families, HIV support groups and to other healthcare providers. • Manage drug stocking in the pharmacy including conducting a monthly sock report. • Dispense medication OI and ART through the pharmacy. • Participate in Medical Staff Meeting Position # 3: Counselor Key Qualifications: 1. A Graduate, MSW, Psychology, Sociology. 2. At least 2 to 3 years experience in providing counseling services in HIVAIDS pre- post test, ongoing counseling, ART adherence counseling in nursing care in hospital or clinics or in AIDS NGOs 3. Must posses an adequate computer skills including use of internet/ e-mail application and MS-Office software, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.; 4. Ability to meet deadlines and to manage multiple priorities while working as part of a team. 5. Team player service-minded and able to work under pressure; Roles and Responsibilities: Includes the following: Other duties may be assigned. • Provide counseling services to Clients. • Provide pre and post test, ART and PPMTC counseling for patients ensuring patient confidentiality. • Provide additional psycho social support required face to face or on the phone including partner and family counseling. • Provides basic referrals for additional non medical services (including legal services). • Insure that all clients receive the appropriate follow up counseling services.
