We have a Biostep and have used it for about 2 months. Unlike the NuStep, the

Biostep has an eliptical motion of the foot pedals/lower extremities.

Otherwise, the features are similar. The BioStep is slightly more expensive than

the NuStep but Biostep should match the price of the NuStep if you mention it.

Wondering if anyone has used a Biostep. We are looking at adding one instead of

another NuStep. Any opinions on this. O'Tool, MS PTBoone Rehab Services

just was out last week looking at equipment and did see the biostep as

well as SciFit's recumbent steppers. Both have a smoother feel than

the NuStep and have an easier platform to adjust and use. I actually

like SciFit's REX stepper better than the Biostep and the quote I

received on it is less than the NuStep by about $400.

HI and !

I bought a Sci-fit stepper about 2 years ago. So far, this is the second

one we had, since the first one had some problems with the main rods and

bushings. This new one is starting to have problems again. The elbow

joints/ bearing system has been poorly designed (I think). Make sure that

the steps do not bottom out, otherwise, the bushings will give out quicker.

If I would to buy a new equipment for stepper, I think I would not buy a

Sci-Fit stepper again. Although, I have not had any experience with the REX

Sci-Fit stepper so I do not know what the difference would be between the

two.

Just my experience.

Just purchased one and have been using it for 3 weeks. I had purchased several

Nu-steps at another facility I was Director at. I like the Biostep much better

as the resistences are more adjustable and aggressive if you want it. I found

the Nu-step functions about the same as far as seat rotation, arm length

adjustments, etc. I think price was the same too. Call me if you have any

other questions.
