Guest guest
I'm new to the group but not new to this way of eating. Years ago I was introduced to the Body Ecology Diet and learned the importance of fermented foods. My problem is with the cultured vegetables. I would use the BED culture starter packets when making my vegetables. I don't use salt. Most people seem to thrive on these vegetables but I get terrible cramps from eating them. My thought is that maybe mine are spoiled somehow and I'm experiencing some type of food poisoning. However, I have been to a demonstration on how to make them, I follow the recipe to the " T " , allow them to ferment at room temperature for 3 days, then refrigerate them. Could I actually be experiencing food poisoning or could I be allergic to something in the vegetables? Has anyone else ever experienced cramping pains when eating them? Joan O.
