I certainly don't believe that because the CDC says so! They confuse their facts with reality WAY too many times to be trusted! Kathy Re: organic beer and ale , some facts: The mother's drink rate is not 3 drinks per night for fetal alcohol, but " Patterns of exposure known to place a fetus at greatest risk include binge drinking, defined as having five or more drinks at one time, and drinking seven or more drinks per week. " Also if the mother's metabolism processes alcohol like people in alcoholic families (as opposed to the general population), the affect is magnified; the metabolites are different and the rate of metabolism of alcohol is different. So no, low to moderate beer and wine consumption is not necessarily good for everyone. Per the CDC facts as well as my opinion.
