Guest guest
Okay, I am not in denial about pain medications and how they can be addictive. I am very aware of this. Very rarely I need a stronger pain medication, usually for menstrural cramps but sometimes for headaches and other pains. Mostly I am fine with Tylenol. I am getting a stone wall when I ask for narcotic pain medicines. I realize that they are abused, but I am having a hard time explaining to my doctor (military medical center..with a surgeon who does WLS in the center) that I cannot take NSAIDS and that I am in pain. What do you say to your general practitioner. I'm seriously at a loss of what to say. I got in a car accident awhile ago and was given a small amount of pain meds in the ER. About 2 days worth. I went for a check up about a week later and asked for about 3 more (for the evenings). I got read the riot act. I got by with Doans. I am torn. I am not a whiner and don't want to seem like I am a pain med seeker. Thank you. Carol Sly --------------------------------- Yahoo! DSL Something to write home about.
