Guest guest Posted January 4, 2008 Report Share Posted January 4, 2008 I would like to clarify just a couple of things regarding Mark’s response. I do agree with a majority of the email. Keep in mind that what you do for one class of employee (ie therapist, PTA. aide, ect..) you have to do for all unless they are in some type of supervisory position. If you have one therapist that is exempt, all must be exempt. If an exempt employee works 1 hour or 10 hours they should be paid the same rate for that day. Exempt employees are not paid based on a 40 hour week, it is more like 5 days at 8 hours per day. If you work 4 days you would get paid 32 hours that week. It could even be structured as 4 days at 10 hours per day. Great thread of information!
