Guest guest
Friends, I am working as Consultant for three of the Projects in Andhra Pradesh, which are supported by Spanish Foundation. From April 26th to 29th we are conducting training program to rural community healthworkers Counselling skill training. Department of Psychology from Osmania University and NIMH have agreed to provide professional inputs on counselling and communication. To provide equitable access to professional counselling we are training locals who are actively invovled (already) in HIV prevention and Communicable Diseases Control programs in thier respective districts - Nalgonda, Prakasam and Khammam. I shall be very glad if you can share the resources, case studies and expereinces. I am planning to present a good number of case studies for discussion. The final aim of the training program is not just to learn modes of transmission or not trasmission, but the counsellors should be able to chart a behaviour change plan to reduce risk of infection and spread of infection. The participants are Community Health Workers, Peer Educators working with Mobile Population on National Highways, PLWHA and indeginous community. I want to provide them with rich experiences and kindly share. Jyothirmayee E-mail: <jkperfect@...>
