Guest guest Posted April 4, 2008 Report Share Posted April 4, 2008 Patna Doctor Felicitated for AIDS work at NMCH 38th Foundation Day Celebration Patna: April 2, 2008 State Health Minister Chandramohan Rai, on the 38th anniversary of the foundation of Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) on Wednesday, announced the government's decision to raise the medical seats in the college from 50 to 100 from this year while also introducing post-graduate studies in medicines come July 2008. The minister also agreed to the doctors' demand of building an auditorium within the campus. Several prominent alumni including Dr. Diwakar Tejaswi, the Medical Director of International Health Organization, Dr. Ravindra Kumar Yadav, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Dr. Rajeshwar Thakur, Dr. Vimal Karak, Dr. Kalika Sharan, and Dr. Sahajanand were honored at the function.
