Guest guest
hi angie guess what??? theres NOTHING at all wrong with you..... your body is gonna go thru all kinds of stopping and starting during your weight loss compare it to you or me trying to run up ten flights of steps without stopping... we cant...we have to stop and rest..more than once.. well your ol' bod cant lose all the weight you need to in a few months...same thing..it knows when to say whoa..hang on a minute let ME rest too see? and 30 lbs in three weeks is awesome..theres some that dont lose that in three months...really... your dry skin is a combo of both winter and a normal reaction..your probably a little dehydrated..dont panic out!! drink as much water or crystal light as you can its supposed to be 64 oz a day.. well i never have yet.... and its not the end of the world if ya dont... just DO try to drink as much as you can..and remember to sip-sip-sip i use aveeno " unscented " body wash..... its awesome walk as much as you can to jump start your weight loss again..and dont forget your protein drinks!! todd lap rny 09/08/05 375/265/190 > > OK, I know thats too long of a list to go into here. Guest guest
Thanks for all the good advice. Its just that I guess I've always failed at weight loss and Im terrified that somehow this wont work either. But this body better be done resting soon, cause I want to lose alot more weight. :-) Angie PS Does it bother anyone else when in weight loss chat rooms, peeps talk about wanting to " loose " weight? That just drives me nuts. But maybe thats just me. > > > > OK, I know thats too long of a list to go into here. Guest guest
Angie, Sounds like you are right on schedule and you are very normal. Our fat cells store estrogen and when we lose these huge amounts of fat, all of that is being dumped into our systems. It can wreak havoc on our emotions and lives with such a wide range of possibilites. Also, in about the 3rd or 4th week many will experience what appears to be a plateau. It is not a true plateau, but our bodies fighting to go into starvation mode. This is because we have cut the incoming calories so drastically. It will pass and before you know it, you will be losing again. For the dry skin, I try to keep up my water, but I also put baby oil from my neck to my toes when I come out of the shower. I don't even dry off, but use that water to help spread it around. This will help to lock in the moisture and also help prevent getting rashes when the folds start to appear. Hang in there, you are doing fine and will be doing even better very soon. Guest guest
Thanks so much Kathy, it helps to be able to deal with it if I understand a little more why I feel this way. Not that I can control it much, but Im trying to at least deal with it better. And the good news is I have started losing again, have lost a total of 35 lbs now. Hugs, Angie 285/35/250 - did i do that part right? lol Open RYN Dr Kermode 12/29/05 > > Angie, > > Sounds like you are right on schedule and you are very normal.
