Major oops..... posted this to the Bandsters list by mistake... it was meant

for Ozband... so here it is again.

Lindy,

Exercise: this was a big hurdle for me for a long time after I was banded. I

only really got into a routine about nine months later. Now (in general) I

go to gym once a week for an hour, do water aerobics two or three times a

week for an hour, and do a sort of folk dancing class either once or twice a

week for one and a half to two hours. The only exercise I enjoy is the

dancing... the rest is a real chore, I'm afraid.

Clothes: give them away to various organisations. Our school runs an op shop

so a lot go there. Some to the Salvos. As for what to wear " on the way

down " .... I'm bad, I buy stuff. What the hell, I'm spending so much less on

food!

Esther: happy, happy birthday, and I'm so glad to hear your problems have

cleared up. I'm having less reflux and sleeping better since took out

..2 last week, but my weight is still static. I'm beginning to wonder if this

is it for me.

Diane: yes, the changes your body goes through as the pregnancy progresses

are quite wondrous. And you know, if your weight hasn't gone up, it means

that in real terms you are losing, because by this stage of your pregnancy

you'd normally have started to put on a bit.

That's it from me.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes.

Like you, my weight has been static for approx. 18 months.......

until a few weeks ago. My scales show I am 5 kgs down, which means I have

lost something. For the first time in a long time I am not scared of

having my appointment this week. Since my troubles have been abating I

am finding my whole system is behaving a little better. Instead of

stuffing things into my mouth because " I don't know when I will be able to

eat again " I am making wise food choices 99% of the time. I actually

listened to what Randall said at our last meeting and thought about it. He

is right when he says we must work with the band. I don't know, maybe I am

saying this because things are OK at the moment but whatever is happening I

feel like I am in control. Try to find something that will kick start the

loss again. If it doesn't happen, the worst thing is that you have lost 45

kgs (I think that's your loss). You probably feel much better, and I know

from first hand experience - you look great.
