Required Two Female Research Officer in ICRW for its Mumbai Field Office

The International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) is a private, nonprofit

organization that conducts policy-oriented research, provides technical

assistance, and undertakes strategic communications and advocacy activities to

improve the economic, health and social status of women in the developing world.

ICRW in partnership with the University of Connecticut, USA and funding from NIH

is initiating a program that will develop and evaluate a culturally appropriate,

theory-driven, health facility based intervention with women and couples to

promote prevention of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections among

married women in an economically low urban community in Mumbai

Position: 2 Women Research Officers

Location: Mumbai

Job brief:

In consultation with the Field Coordinator develop the research tools. Validate

with piloting them in the field Collect data using both qualitative and

quantitative research methodology

Document day-to-day field activities & findings and report the same to the Field

Coordinator

Facilitate meetings with the women, community & stakeholders

Undergo training on qualitative & quantitative data collection

Requirements:

Master’s degree in any social sciences

Fluency in Marathi, Hindi and English

Good writing skills

Three or more years of research experience in field based projects and data

collection and supervision.

Data analysis skill using software packages like SPSS/ AtlasTi

Prior experience in gender, HIV or sexual health related research projects
