Guest guest
Guess I'm a wimp too. I was in hospital for five days the first time round... it bloody hurt!!! Actually, the shoulder pain is what I'm fearing the most this time around, more than the tummy pain, which shouldn't be as bad since I'm not having the port replaced, and that's the biggest incision. I suffered a lot with the gas-in-the-shoulders thing, actually I also had a bad time with that when I had my gall bladder out a few years ago. It's common with any laparoscopic surgery. In fact, a few days ago when I had the colonoscopy and gastroscopy I got similar pain but this time in the stomach, also from gas introduced during the procedure. I guess some people are just more susceptible to this than others. But..... on the bright side.... it does pass, eventually.... and hey, it's all in a good cause. *Smile* .
