Re: Out come of PIL on Railway Concession

Dear Forum,

I am Hari Singh from DNP+. We raised this issue of Railways consession 2 years

back, the HRLN filed the case for us regarding this issue in the Delhi High

Court, requesting the High Court to ensure the Railway Ministry to include in

the budget for railway consession to the PLHAs.

The raiways gave 50% railway consession in the budget, but, we are not satisfied

with this percentage of consession and there are so many formalities to follow

to get the consession for every PLHAs.

We also have a question regarding this consession because cancer patients get

75% consession while PLHAs get only 50% consession that too can only get through

lots of formality.

We are very very thankful to HRLN who fight for us in the Delhi High Court.

We requested the railway Ministry to kindly remove the technical formalities,

and we do hope the railway Ministry takes necessary actions at the earliest.
