Dear Friends and Partners,

This is to gladly inform you that Coalition for AIDS Treatment Access (CATA) has

already mobilized 10,000 plus signatures, from all walks of life from across the

country since middle of the November, demanding and expaned 2nd line ARV Roll

out

We have received a confirmation of the appointment from the

Honourable Prime Minister who is fortunately also the Chair of National AIDS

Council (NAC), for Friday, Feb 22nd at 9:30 a.m.

A delegation of CATA representatives including People Living with HIV/AIDS

(PLHA) will go to submit a Memorandum requesting to address the plight of people

living with HIV/AIDS and to save valuable lives and fulfil the UNGASS

Declaration of Commitment on Universal Access to HIV/AIDS Treatment.

Since we have been informed on a very short notice, we would like to

apologize for informing you all in the last moment. We had a short meeting with

a few members of CATA who could be informed and were available for the same

today at 3:00 p.m. at the AHF - India Cares Office.

Since the PM's office has allowed only 5 delegates to go for the meeting, we

have prioritized a few members as agreed upon by the members present in the

meeting to go as delegates (including AIDS activists). Please see the list

below:

1. Dr. Chinkholal Thangsing , Asia Pacific Bureau Chief, AIDS

Healthcare Foundation (AHF); President, India Cares

2. Dr. Nochiketa Mohanty, Project Coordinator, AHF - India Cares

3. Mr. Snehansu Bhaduri, Vocal AIDS activist on 2nd line Treatment
