-suggested for gastric bypass patients-

Regularly (every 3-6 months depending on your previous

results)

Keep track of any levels that are declining from one

set of tests to the next, even if not yet in the low

range. Make any corrections necessary in your diet

and vitamin regimen before the levels get too low.

COMPREHENSIVE METABOLIC PROFILE (sodium, potassium,

chloride, glucose, BUN, creatinine, calcium, total

protein, albumin, total bilirubin,alkaline

phosphatase, aspartate aminotransferase)

LIPID PROFILE (cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides,

LDH

*YEARLY - DEXA SCAN for bone density.

CBC (HEMOGRAM/PLT/DIFF)

B-1 (thiamine)

B-12 & FOLATE

IRON, TIBC, % SAT

FERRITIN

VITAMIN A & D (25-hydroxy)

THYROID PANEL (T3U, T4, FTI, TSH)

ZINC

MAGNESIUM

SERUM INTACT PTH

PARATHYROID

HGB A1C (if diabetic)
