Guest guest
Hi Group, This question is primarily to out-patient, hospital-based clinics but other input is okay too. An ongoing issue in our department is whether we provide " documentation time " in a therapist's schedule (No patients are booked in this time, it is non-productive.) The question is this: If you block out time in the therapist's schedule, how much time per day? Is this time paid or expected to be accomplished as part of the patient treatment? What is your patient population? (Do you do primarily ortho patients, difficult neuro patients or manual therapy?) And lastly, Do you use electronic documentation, paper documentation and do you have various special forms that need to be filled out for specific insurance carriers? I'd appreciate any and all input. Thanks, Suzanne Suzanne LeBlanc, PT, MPT Director, Rehabilitation Services Willamette Falls Hospital Oregon City, OR x6870
