Guest guest
We have an OTR who works on our NIC unit and spends a considerable amount of time consulting with parents about proper positioning and review of home programs. Many times the baby is not available for one on one therapy due to varies reasons. Is this time able to be billed using CPT codes since she is not always able to actually work one on one with the babies? During the times when she is able to work with the babies we are using either 97110 - Therapeutic exercise or 97112 - Neuromuscular reeducation. Also, we have been approached by a member of our palliative care team wanting to use OT more for consultation with the patient and/or family. Would this be able to billed or would it be more feasible to have orders written for an OT evaluation/treatment to make recommendations related to energy conservation/ joint protection, ADL's, safety issues etc. Thanks for your consideration Toby , OTR/L OT Service Supervisor Stormont-Vail HealthCare Topeka, KS ********************************************************************************\ ********************************** The information transmitted in this e-mail and in any replies and forwards are for the sole use of the above individual(s) or entities and may contain proprietary, privileged and/or highly confidential information.
