Guest guest
Keep it up, Theresa! Determination and just plain grit (along with a bit of humor for spice) keeps us going. Love to you, and to all close to you, n, wMS Hello.. My name is Theresa I want to thank everyone for the very warm welcome to the group.Let me tell you all a little about myself I am 36 married I have 3 children ages 18,10,3.I was diagnosed with MS in 2000 after I had the scare of my life.I had gone to bed around 12am feeling just fine. Woke up the next morning and when I went to get out of bed I stumbled to the floor. My intire left side was numb.I spent 3 days in the hospital and went thru many tests.I was then told after a lumbar pucture (spinal tap) that I had MS.I had to do physical therepy for about 6 months before I could walk without assistance.I had started taking Betaseron(sp?)and then became pregnant.I stopped taking it but it was to late I lost the baby a short time later.I have not gone back on any treatments and I am doing very well.I have set my mind to the fact that yes I have MS but...MS WILL NOT have me if I have anything to say about it.I do from time to time have minor relapses and I have trouble with my eyes but I have a strong will to work thru them not only for me but for my family.I look forward to getting to know everyone here.Theresa

Guest guest
Welcome to the group Theresa. We are a unique group with varied experiences and roads leading to our diagnosis. Interesting how your MS had such a sudden onset with severe symptoms. Had you ever noticed other things before like tingling, numbness, blurred vision? No one’s MS story seems to be the same. I am so sorry about your baby—this disease affects so many aspects of our lives and I applaud your determination and attitude to fight. I am 46 and was diagnosed about 5 years ago after bladder troubles. I have 4 children—or young adults they would say – twin sons 25, a son 22 and a daughter 17. I live in Fort Worth, Texas and teach Special Ed. I battle my MS with Rebif injections, yoga and diet modifications. Life is good and this group is a great place to learn and to vent. Guest guest
Glad to meet you, What part of the country are you from? Your not on anything? I took my MS in my own hands too, I diecided it would never have me either. So far so good. I do take LDN 4.5 mg a day but no shots. I am doing well and not letting MS get the better of me. I have 5 kids 3 glirls and 2 boys. 24-22-almost 20 15 and 13. My oldest is a 2nd grade teacher and the next has a almost 3 year old that I have most of the time. ( I love having her) Some days are rough running around after a little one but mostly it is allot of fun. Anyway, glad to hear from you!! Always, (with an ie we have a Kate here too.)marion j rojas wrote: Keep it up, Theresa! Determination and just plain grit (along with a bit of humor for spice) keeps us going.
