Guest guest
Rob: I'm happy to read about your success. For the second day in a row I'm requesting that an advocate of Measurable Solutions please disclose the fees associated with your investment in LRH Technology and Measurable Solutions. My last post didn't go through, so please share with this group how much your practice has spent and will continue to spend as a result of your relationship Measurable Solutions. Why is this such a difficult question to answer in this public forum? I find this sudden interest in Measurable Solutions absolutely captivating. How coincidental that CSM 2008 starts Thursday and suddenly there's a plug for Measurable Solutions in the form of " does anyone know anything about Measurable Solutions? " Hey, what do you know, they happen to have a booth at CSM! Oh, and it's great that the President of the Arkansas chapter now has a relationship with Measurable Solutions. What's next, some adroit infiltration of the national governing body? ....if it hasn't happened already. I doubt this post will go through, but I'll save it in my " Sent " folder anyway. For those unaware of Measurable Solutions or Survival Strategies business techniques please do a search and include W.I.S.E. (World Institute of Scientologic Enterprises). If you'd like to meet with me and discuss this personally, I'll be at CSM this week. Again, any attorneys representing Measurable Solutions and/or Survival Strategies: Please refrain from threatening letters accusing me of " libel " or " defamation " . Those practices really aren't appropriate and only harm your client in the long run. B. Rohr, P.T. -------------- Original message -------------- Mark, Contrary to some previous postings, I will tell you the facts. I had been in private practice for 14 years prior to taking the New Patient Course nearly 4 years ago. I cannot imagine where I would be now had it not been for taking that course. Within 9 months of taking the course my patient volume had doubled. The following year my volume doubled again. Amazingly, I did not have to even speak to a doctor to market my practice for 3 years and I was working less hours!! I have since taken nearly every course that Measurable offers. I can say that they are adamant about practices being 100% ethical. I have witnessed several clients being " fired " for unethical behaviors. This has resulted in some " sour grapes " from PTs who, then, lash out at Measurable for the Scientology connection. The truth is that L. Ron Hubbard was the developer of the Management system taught by Measurable. And YES, he was the founder of Scientology just as he was also the developer of Narconon, Criminon, Applied Scolastics and many other philanthropic organizations. Those who accuse Measurable of any covert agenda to push Scientology are either misinformed or delusional. I don't think our profession is currently in any position to turn its back on any organization with the stated purpose of helping practice owners improve their condition is a hostile environment. Some individuals cannot help but to criticize every attempt to help them. Someone who is given a $1900 course for free only to complain that she had to pay $7 for lunch should be considered suspect. My viewpoint is that every new referral I receive is worth approximately $1200 to my practice. If I can't go to a two day course on marketing and get 2 or 3 new referrals from what I learned, there is something wrong with me. Just a thought Rob Jordan Pres Arkansas chapter, APTA

Guest guest
Wow, I subscribed to this message board because I thought the intention was to share information and provide a forum for therapists to offer advice, guidance and help to each other. I have been a member of APTA for almost 20 years. I have served on numerous committees, task forces and have constantly strived to better the conditions facing our profession. For the past few years I have served as the President of the Arkansas chapter. I have given hundreds of volunteer hours to my profession, seeking nothing in return. Our national initiative to gain direct access to Medicare patients is being sponsored in the US Senate by my Sentor, Blanche Lincoln because of the relationship I have forged with her over the years. Never before was I aware that my service was a covert attempt of Measurable Solutions to " infiltrate " APTA with Scientology. I am personally offended by such a ridiculous allegation. Sanity is defined as the ability to see when two things are the same and when two things are different. Measurable Solutions is a management consulting company that works with private practice owners to help them run their practices better. That is all. I originally had many of the same questions about how it could be possible. Well, it is. I am living proof of that. I followed the rules, practiced ethically, and learned the tools that we were not taught in school. I had the ability to see when two things are different. I am happier now than I have ever been in my life thanks to the help I received at Measurable. Did it cost money? Yes. But every dollar I invested paid 10 x in return. Measurable Solutions teaches management techniques through a technology developed by Mr. Hubbard. It is a vehicle to help you succeed. And like any vehicle you want there is a cost associated with it. Like the vehicle you drive to work, some would call it a luxury that you paid too much for. Others would say it was worth every penny. I choose to look at the latter because I am able to see differences. We all must choose our own road and the vehicle we wish to travel in. Likewise, we must choose our traveling companions. Personally, I choose to travel with those in my profession who are doing something to help my profession, rather than deriding those who have made the journey and are offering to help others avoid the potholes.
