Hi, Challis:

Thanks for your concern. I've been wearing the foot up device and it helps some. When worn correctly it certainly makes my feet feel lighter!

I'm finishing the prednisone taper in a few days. I think it helped. Only, I caught a nasty head cold a few days after the solumedrol infusion and that has kept me feeling rather miserable for the past week.

Something else to mention here, I've been taking thiamine supplements the past several weeks and it "seems" to be helping with the neuropathy pain in my legs. The pain has been much more manageable since taking the thiamine. I certainly hope that it's the reason for an improvement!

Hi Sharon:

The Foot-Up device that I started wearing this past week to assist with foot drop seems to help. But, I'm still paranoid walking on the sidewalk. The surface is so uneven on the streets. Also, I seem to tire out quicker when walking. I'll have to judge in a couple weeks whether it's part of the exacerbation, fear of falling, the heat from last week or hyperness from the steroids.

Sunday I had a chance to see the new Indiana movie. And, afterward I went to get my car washed. But, then my car wouldn't start as the battery was dead. I got a jumpstart and went to the Toyota dealer to purchase a new battery. A serviceman at the dealership was very nice and installed the new battery no charge. So, that's one of those nice things I'll have to remember in the future when I'm thinking most people don't care about others. LOL

So sorry to hear of your falls, Dana. Falling is stupid and I hate it. It makes me feel so vulnerable. Are you feeling any better yet?

Hi Dana,

I read that you had a cold though hoped it was better by now. Is it still hanging on? Do you still have that husky voice? (lol over the story of your co-worker calling).

I'm glad to hear the foot up device really is helping so much! Are there websites that show the device?

Those B vitamins are grand things and I hope yours does keep helping! :o) I think Akiba takes a separate B1 / Thiamin, too.

Hugs,

Challis
