Guest guest
Carmen - Did I miss a previous email? Are you having trouble with RMD? Here is what we did when they told us that they could not guarantee us a reservation until one day prior (and we were flying from California). 1) Booked refundable tickets. 2) Called the month prior and made the reservation through Dr. H's office. 3) Called two weeks prior and asked for " Marilyn " at the RMDHouse. I explained to her that we were going to be flying in from California. Carmen, tell her that financially, you have no other options for staying and that your son's health is critical at this point. 4) Try and schedule staying just 1-2 nights (fly in the evening before, stay that night, morning appt at Dr. H's and fly out that evening). You will have the best luck at staying at RMD if you are just there 1 night, maybe 2 nights. 5) Then, after really being SUPER SWEET to Marilyn, then call the week prior again. Tell her you are just checking in, and that you are wondering if you can get a confirmation prior than just one day, since you are flying in - remind her that you have no alternative option for staying anywhere else. Marilyn is the nicest. Our first appt we had a woman tell my husband the day of our flight that " well, we can't guarantee your reservation. " LADY, WE ARE GETTING ON A PLANE IN 4 HOURS!!! " Wish you the best. Remind as sweet as possible on the phone with Marilyn. Salem
Guest guest
Carmen, The hospital does have parking - right in the front. It is the easiest place to " park " of all the doctors that we take Max to see. All you do is pull up to the circle, stay on the left and wait for someone to come over and give you a ticket. If that lot is full, they will tell you about two others that are almost as easy, but this is the easiest of all. If you need more details, let me know. We've been doing this for 12 years! Guest guest
Hi Carmen I may be way off here....Adam is not on periactin (nor ever has been) but the nose bleeds do come with the dry air. Now Texas wouldn't get the dry, cold winters we do here in Canada, but perhaps the air is especially dry right now? Do you find you need a humidifier to bring humidity to the air?? Have you tried a vaporizer at night? Just a thought PS (Adam had a nose bleed at school last week, but when I got to the bottom of all the blood and crying I found he had shoved his pencil up his nose--he never has a sharp pencil except for that day--this kid is the reason I keep seeing more and more gray hairs in the mirror each day!!!! LOL) Debby & Carmen Snyder wrote: > Hi > Thank you for your reply to my message about RMD house. > I did write an email to Dr. H and I will call the office again tomorrow and > keep calling until I get someone to talk to me and get me some answers and a > reservation! Guest guest
I wondered about nose bleeds too because is the only one in our family to ever get any. He has only had a couple, but one was just yesterday at the dinner table. He was crying and refusing to eat and curled up in a ball on his chair. When he got up, the whole seat was a pool of blood. He doesn't have that much to spare right now after all the tubes they took 2wks ago!
