Guest guest
OK everyone......there has to be a better way for us to survive. I can't tell you how many times I have driven home from doctors sobbing the whole time and trying to see the highway (always a highway has to be involved) and trying not to let Adam know I am upset. I guess it's harder for me because I go to all these appointments alone. But what an awful feeling Madonna.....I sympathesize with you completely. I have lost count of the number of car trips home I have had like that. Got all weepy at school today. I happened to look down the hallway at school (for a short while Adam's class and the one I am teaching in are on the same floor) and I see his little body sitting, all alone out in the hallway. And I'm thinking " oh God it's only the second day of school and he's been kicked out already " so much for " the new Adam " . I kept a lid on it long enough to get to lunch. Hopped in my van and drove around and smoked and cried for 45 minutes. I walked back into the school, finally, and there is Adam coming down the hallway. I swear it was devine intervention that sent him to me at that moment. I was so upset.....I took him in my class and we sat down (I have a recliner--from home--in my room) So he sat on my lap and we talked. Slowly I got to " what happened...you were in the hall...what did you do? " It took him a minute and then he said " oh mom...that was nothing...I forgot to take a snack out for recess so the teacher had me eat in the hallway " !!! (I'll remind you he has hypoglycemia and I had sent the teacher(s) a letter saying it was important he eat every 2-3 hours). I was so relieved he wasn't in trouble and the teacher was sweet enough to make sure he ate.....that I cried more. You know I really need to get off this roller coaster soon. Take care Madonna.........my heart is with you. Guest guest
Oh, Madonna, this motherhood stuff is not easy, is it? I am sure you would rather have had your own front teeth pulled if you could have instead of having his pulled. I hope he feels better tomorrow. And you, too! Guest guest
Madonna, I know how devastating it is to have to pull teeth. has had several pulled. He has also had lots capped. You'll get used to seeing the gaps, and he will be a lot more comfortable when the swelling goes down. Try to keep him hydrated and you'll be in my prayers.
