I mean, why on earth are the following words pro nounced so differently: enough; through; though; just for example? Must be maddening for teachers everywhere. Guest guest
my birth certificate says I am have a Brit - I can understand Benny Hill and Monty Python - I didn't do English grammar until college in 1988 when my faculty advisor started tutoring me - one sentence at a time - I learned to write and got 2 awards from the English department - most improved and best older student - they are filed someplace and don't mean squat - I did have two things published. I still use a grammar check - my prof finally got so he read my papers for luck. considering what the other profs let get by - I was blessed by my faculty advisor Re: funny>>>> Looks more like Dutch to me than German.
