In India, the CHAI team works hand-in-hand with various government agencies to expand access to treatment on the ground, strengthen management capacity, improve procurement and laboratory systems, train healthcare workers and manage initiatives to expand care to particularly marginalized populations, such as children and people living in rural areas. The Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative (CHAI), India office is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong communication skills to fill the position of Program Manager for Pediatric HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment to be working out of our state (both Karnataka and Maharashtra) office. Reporting to the State Program Coordinator, the Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing CHAI involvement in helping to scale-up Pediatric HIV and PPTCT services and access to life-saving ARV treatment (ART) to children. Dynamic, entrepreneurial individuals with strong managerial, diplomatic, and analytical skills are sought for this role. The Program Manager will assist with the development and drive the ongoing strategy for CHAI in the State. Responsibilities include: • Manage state-level activities for the pediatric initiative, including administration of a pediatric ARV donation program, development and implementation of pediatric scale-up plans, and overall systems strengthening design. • Manage state activities for the PPTCT program • Provide strategic consulting assistance to identify programmatic barriers, and strengthen overall health systems strengthening to achieve pediatrics ART scale-up. • Provide ongoing technical assistance to ART centers and State AIDS Control Society in areas of strengthening treatment protocols, training curriculum, program management and implementation, and monitoring and evaluation activities. • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including the State AIDS Control Society, National AIDS program, non governmental organizations and major treatment partners. • Assist State Program Coordinator in monitoring and evaluating programmatic interventions, including quality of Care & Support services offered by the Pediatric Initiative Lead NGO Partners. • Write periodic progress reports describing the achievements and challenges of the program • Provide technical capacity to outreach workers, data entry operators, and other health care workers involved in implementing the pediatric program • Identify new community based organizations (CBO) and collaborate with existing CBO to implement the care and support components • Ensure the collation of vital field data and the identification of suitable vendors to enter and analyze data • Work closely with the district level ART centers to facilitate scaling treatment for children living with HIV/AIDS • Other activities as agreed upon mutually with the State and Country Office' Qualifications: • Masters Degree in social sciences or public health, Management • 3-5 years experience in HIV/AIDS program management preferred • Exceptional problem-solving, interpersonal, quantitative and analytical capabilities • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work independently • Willingness and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work independently and in a team • Excellent writing and communication skills • Willingness and ability to travel (up to 50% of time) • Be of uncompromised integrity; a strategic and innovative thinker; and humble and happy to let other take credit for any/all success achieved • Ability to achieve maximum efficiency and impact with limited human and financial resources • Strong dedication to improving the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS Pluses: • Ability to work extended hours outside of a standard work schedule • Willingness to undertake tasks outside of those outlined in the job description upon request Languages: • Fluency in English and at least one regional language; Hindi is preferred.
