Guest guest
Hi everyone, CMS (Medicare) announced this week that effective March 3,2008, the ABN (Advanced Beneficiary Notice) for Part B has been replaced by a new ABN form. There is a six month transition period from the old form, ending September 1, 2008. There are some significant changes. This new form also replaces the NEMB (Notice of Exclusion from Medicare Benefits) as well. Please note that this does not apply to SNF. A new SNF ABN will be implemented at a later. The link below has additional links for SNF and Home health form information. The new Part B form, instructions and FAQ's can be accessed at the link below: http://www.cms.hhs.gov/BNI/02_ABNGABNL.asp Have a good weekend! Tom Howell, P.T., M.P.T.
