Guest guest
For what it's worth, I have a friend who lives on the west coast. Her daughter has RSS, but she chooses not to participate on this list for a variety of reasons. But the reason I am writing is to let you know that she did take her daughter to an endocrinologist out there who prescribed steroids to help her daughter grow. We will never know if it will work, however, because my friend found out that the endo. prescribed, by " accident, " double the dose her daughter should have been taking, so she took her off the meds immediately. My point in telling you this is that apparently there really are a group of doctors who believe that steroids do help these kids grow. I don't know if they work, but the theory is out there. Most of us seem to be uncomfortable with this, including me, but now we know about it and can do what we wish with the information. Jodi P.S. By the way, my friend was uncomfortable, too, but she was unable to find anyone willing to try gh treatments. In desperation to try SOMETHING, she agreed to this. It went against her better judgment, but thought it was worth a try justthesame. At least she can say that she tried
