I like your "long" posts! (They don't seem long to me lol).

What are the hymns you're singing??

Wow, a Mission trip to PR? That is awesome! Have your kids ever done something like this before? What a great experience! :o)

Boy, sure made out with being a goalie the free Hockey Camp! Your family really enjoys the sport, don't they?

I can feel 's pain. I did summer school once, too. LOL Not that I remember much of it. LOL That was the year after I'd got my first pair of glasses and my glasses were the reason I was given. Ha. Surrre. LOL

I honestly would have loved for you to be here to celebrate 's birthday with us. :o) If you weren't off gallivanting on some cruise ship, I'd have invited you. LOL received lots of other gifts, all those exciting tools and such, but those three were my favorite from us. :o) My Mom also gave him her home-canned pickled mushrooms with a promise of pickled jalapenos to come. Ohhh I love my Mom's jars of goodies! :o) My brother and sis-in-law gave him a few things (coffee, a French Press), but our favorite was the gag gift.

For a few years now, I've told that at 40 men get a Prostate Exam. doesn't think that sounds like fun. lol He's told me "I'm not going!" And I've told him I already had it scheduled. LOL He told me he would only go to a doctor in a town far away, one he'd never met before and would never see again. LOL I told him our "friend" and doc was doing it. LOL On 's 39 birthday, he woke to find left him a message on the choreboard (a dry-erase board we have in the kitchen). wrote "365 days to go", then drew a hand with one enormous index finger pointing out. rofl I did finally let off the hook and told him it was his 50th birthday he'd need the exam. So my brother and his wife gave a large zip-bag (ziplock type bag) with latex gloves in it and wrote on the outside "Home Prostate Exam Kit". LMHO

I dunno, maybe not everyone finds the humor in that sort of thing that we do. LOL They topped me for sure! LOL For my brother's birthday... He'd been having a lot of truck troubles (he always does). Not long before, the bed of his work truck broke. The work he does puts vehicles under a lot of stress. LOL There had been several other pretty big things happen with his work trucks in the month before his birthday, too. So I bought a multi-pack of super glue, made a label and glued it on. "Truck Repair Kit". My brother and sis-in-law topped anything any of us had done in the past with this Home Prostate Exam Kit. LOL

See? We're both long-winded. At least we're breathing! LOL

How did the service go today? Best ever, I bet, huh? :o)

HUGS,

Challis

the first day of August 1999 was a day of infamy - I started night class with a very wierd instructor - my sister (also a counselor) put her teenage daughter inpatient - I got online as soon as the class was over so I could ICQ with her and my heart brother in NJ got on - he was 54 and just been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer - it ran in the family - not a good day or a good year - with reiki, and a lot of prayer from family and prayer groups - on my grandsons birthday (9 December) his follow up was clean - yes the exams are important and vital

I discovered my significant other cancer when we were making love in 1986 - he wasn't as lucky - we had less than three years together - very good years for both of us

If he doesn't go - get some one to drive both of you to the doctor
