Guest guest
Greetings! With heavy heart I am sending this mail to you, AIDS INDIA and other forum again. It is really hurt me to write this mail again to all. As all of you know that INP+ initiated GIPA in our country. But its really sad news for us (PLWHA) not gets change to work for the post of GIPA coordinator in the state AIDS control Societies. In my earlier mail also I mention that in many of the advertisement for this post were asking for the qualification and other criteria. But we aware that in some of the state in India we do not have qualified positive people but they have much more knowledge about PLWHA issue. They don’t have much educational qualification but they have knowledge of communication skill. Today we are talking about how we are going to reduce stigma and discrimination from society. If NACO and SACS do not give chances to positive people to come forward then how we think it is going to be reduce? For the last few months, discussion and conversation going on about this appointment. Many of the state appointed non positive person as a GIPA coordinator and even today Assam is also conducting interview with two non positive candidates. It really hurt us. After get appointment are they going to be concerned about PLWHA issue? Because of huge amount of salary they are going to work. Many of our state do not have qualified positive people. If there is some one, they are not coming forward to help other. Because they are qualified and they can work in any other department without disclosing their status with huge amount of salary. Who ever coming out most of them are not finishes there university degree. Also we feel that HIV has come to our body not according to our qualification. It can come to any one’s body. Why NACO has not consulted with INP+ regarding this issue is not understandable for us. If NACO really wants to reduce stigma and discrimination from our society please appoint positive people in this field. Other wise we also able to think that NACO itself discriminate us. What about other general community members. Is some one really concern about us hope they will respond my mail ?
