It is not very impressive that your Dr here could not tell that the port had turned sideways - I hope you will make him aware of this. I love my band and most of the time I feel wonderful with my weight loss and fitness, I have now also lost the desire to eat a big meal and am happy just to pop a few things in the mouth. I have lost a fair bit of wieght in 11 months and the only problem I have really had is that my immune system has been run down a little, I now take herbs and a tonic to help re-build it. Well good luck with the weight loss and enjoy it. Hally ---------- To: OZBAND <ozbandegroups> Subject: PROGRESS Date: Wednesday, October 04, 2000 10:10 PM I have lost 8kg in the last month. I am ecstatic. I cant believe I had to go all the way from Australia to Mexico to get a proper fill. I lined up for the fluoroscope with Dr Rumbaut and Dr Kuri at the bandster bash and they discovered I had nothing in my band. The port had turned sideways and it appeared the local doctor had been hitting the side of the port instead of the middle. I havent been able to post any of my BB2K photos because the processors have lost them !!!! All four rolls. I had to give them a description of the photos so I referred them to Waynes website photos and told them to add a hot tub and people drinking margaritas. Hopefully they will find them. I actually passed a guy walking UP A HILL today. I'm used to everybody overtaking me. He noticed me smiling to myself and frowned. I said "It doesnt take much to make me happy these days". I'm sure he thought I was some sort of nut. I felt like skipping up the hill - maybe I have gone mad - but I LOVE IT. I hope you all get to feel like this. I have been inspired by a comment on TV from Ian Thorpe 'Do the best for YOURSELF every day" (so wise for someone so young). Congratulations to everyone else who is emerging. I dont get to read all the emails so I have trouble keeping up with whos doing what. I cant wait till I get the opportunity to meet up with you guys. It is fantastic putting names to faces. Suzanne: I promise to ring you soon. Life has been very hectic - as usual. Take care Cheryl H
