Guest guest
Eileen From what I've learned, bloating can be a symptom of varying problems. Poor digestive motility (from stomach downwards), higher-than-usual fermentation in the intestinal tract, malnutrition, pancreas problems.... So, my answer to your question is that yes, it could be from your food choices, or it could be the way your digestion works now. Or it could be you still have something going on that hasn't yet been diagnosed. I'd talk about it with your doctors. I have chronic bloating because I have functional upper GI disorders that cause poor motility. I'm careful not to eat anything high-carb. And 4 years ago I was given a short course of Xifaxin, an antibiotic which targets the small intestine, which helped with the worst of the bloating. Kim M.
