Greetings. Again, new games are being played by one of the Dr.of Kolkata Medical

Collage on the PLWHAs.

We have a VCTC Centre in Kolkata Medical Collage an OPD is also running from

there. The HIV Positives are coming there from all the way. It is very near to

School of Tropical Medicine where we have a ARD centre and also CD4 testing

programme is running there.

This particular Dr.(of the Kolkata Medical Collage) knows everything about the

financial status of those people who are coming to him for treatment and also he

knows about the ARD centre, but he is not reffering those people who needs ARV

first line. He is suggesting these people to buy this ARV from outside and for

CD4 testing he is sending them to Private Lab. Where they are paying 490/-

They should not be paying for the medicine(ARV)and also for the CD4 test,

because it is totally free- provoided by the Govt.

We have got full evidence of this incidents. We are planning to take up this

case with WBSACS Care and Support incharge Dr.Goswami. Let's see what steps to

be taken next.
