Guest guest
Hi guys I love this pregnancy chat. I am still in awe that we all have similar stories!! But to put it in some perspective, I am 5'10 " (probably a little taller but I stop counting there!!LOL) and when I was pregnant with my daughter in 1989 I weighed close to 200 lbs (I know yuck!!). I lost a lot after she was born (a year AFTER she was born I weighed the same as I did at 9 months pregnant! That was an eye opener and immediately went on a diet). So I was down to 170 when I got pregnant with Adam in 1992. (Adam is RSS; my daughter is not--but at 11 is almost as tall as I am now!!!). Both times I gained very little weight in the pregnancies and hardly showed. In fact when I was hospitalized during Adam's pregnancy for bleeding and confined to a bed, I got a wheel chair to go outside one day (it was August--nice weather) and an orderly verbally attacked me for having the wheel chair. I explained I was 8 months pregnant and confined to the chair and he took one look at me and said " Out lady--nice try--you are not pregnant " --so that's how much I SHOWED!! But I would have had the same with my daughter--I didn't balloon out until the 9th month both times. It had more to do with my height and weight than the kids themselves. Colette was a healthy 7 lbs 11oz at birth; and Adam 5lb 3oz. During both pregnancies I had my due dates changed around constantly after the kids being measured. So I share that because you all seem to have had these problems (head aches??) and resulted in an RSS child. But I had those same issues with both pregnancies and considered it normal for my body! (OH just to finish off--after the divorce business and all that stress I weighed 145 lbs--man--people who hadn't seen me in a few years refused to acknowledge me as the same person--hey something good about divorce!!!!!)
