Guest guest
Saw the rheumatologist. Since I am moving to a new town, he wants me to see a rheumatologist there for better pain management and a possible (SURPRISE!) sleep study. He also wants me to go to a pulmonary specialist and is forwarding my records to the pulmonary guy I have seen in ville in the past. Some of this I understand, some I don't. " Xrays reveal pectus excavatum deformity with interstitial lung pattern more prominent than would be expected in this age, with some small nodular opacities in the left midlung field felt to represent non calcified granulomas. Lumbar spine showed mild degenerative disc changes L2-S1 with moderate facet changes L4-S1. Cervical spine showed mild cerbical spondylosis C4-C7. Pelvis showed marked sclerosis of the SI joint bilaterally which Dr. Vogler (he's the radiologist) felt was most consistent with osteitis condensans ilii rather than sacroilitis. The hips showed degenerative changes, right >left. there was minimal medial joint space narrowing on the right. " What I would like to find out is, what is the difference in osteitis condensans ilii and sacroilitis? They sounded fairly similar to me. Medical terms always sound worse than they are, to me. THey seem to sound serious. He wants me to keep taking the ulracet even though I don't feel it is helping - still having the same levels of pain. Wants me to stay on it til I see the rheumy in ville to work out a better pain plan. Came back to our soon to be old house to pick up few things so that we can get the loan on our new (new to us) house in ville finalized. Hope you guys are doing well - looking forward to being back in a home of my own and being able to participate more with you guys!
