Guest guest
Dear group, I am looking for some information to establish/justify productivity standards for my acute care SLP's who provide inpatient and outpatient speech therapy coverage. I am concerned that they are spending an excessive amount of time to complete their evaluations and swallow studies. They have multiple responsibilities which include Speech and Swallow evaluations, Modified Barium Swallow studies for inpatients and outpatients, and some outpatient evaluation and follow-up treatment. I am looking for expectations and industry standards for acute care SLP's for # pt's seen per day, expected # of units to complete assessments, and total productive time for an 8 hour day. If anyone could provide standards/expectations for similar hospital based positions it would be very helpful. Thanks Trinque Inpatient Rehab Supervisor Saint Hospital Worcester, MA
