Acute Inpatient Lift Teams

For those in inpatient acute settings that have some form of lift team

or lift staff, can you send me information on what you do that works

well in your organization? I have heard of facilities using " lift

technicians " who roam the hospital and go wherever they are called or

paged to assist in moving patients from one surface to another. I have

also heard of lift teams of existing staff that do the same or respond

to emergencies, such as when a patient needs to be lifted from the

floor.

I would be curious to hear about what has worked well in your

institutions and what has not worked as we are gathering information on

this topic for our institution. Thank you!
