Guest guest
Dear forum members, Mainstreaming is seen increasingly as an effective strategy for a stronger long term response to HIV in India as it addresses the multiple facets and underlying causes of HIV in the long-term. There is an important need to build on the enabling environment to support national efforts in mainstreaming HIV in development responses. Bhoruka Public Welfare Trust is selected as Mainstreaming Resource Unit (MRU) of Bihar by UNDP. This initiative to the mainstreaming efforts is working with government and non-government entities by strengthening systems, strengthening capacities and building synergies and partnerships. It is working with various levels of the government including district administration, women's federations and youth to ensure greater participation of community leaders, NGOs and local government in the HIV prevention activities. MRU-Bihar is focusing on 5 districts of Bihar- Katihar, Purba Champaran, Lakhisarai, Araria and Sitamarhi. As a part of this activity, we have established resource centre for HIV/AIDS mainstreaming at Patna. We would like to request for any type resource materials in relation to HIV/AIDS mainstreaming to forum members. We will be grateful if you may send the materials at 63 Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road, Kolkata – 16 or MRU-Bihar, Bhoruka Public Welfare Trust, Chainpur House, Punaichak, Main Road, Patna- 800023. We can also collect the material from your office, if situated in Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Orissa and Andhra Pradesh. We would also like to request you to provide information on non-HIV CSO, HIV initiative taken by various NGOs/CBOs, communication organization; resource person etc. in our target districts.
