I think that is this, which I used to love, btw, but it's not the right product. http://friendshipdairies.com/products/detail_product_cc_lowfat_whipped_1.php Mara

Guest guest
I just read your message and to be honest with you if Friendship is calling "cottage cheese" then thats what it is full of lactose....they make a DCCC and they call it farmers cheese...So that whole foods guy should be gently made to know the difference since we can get real sick on cottage cheese!!!Elaine is very specific about this in BTVC book. When you call friendship dairies the people there already know to ask if you are on the SCD. Hope this helps. Suzanne Friendship Whipped (Dry Curd?) Guest guest
Hi Danny. I live in Canada, so I have no experience with any Friendship brand products. But whipped cottage cheese would not be SCD-legal. Cottage cheese in general contains curds and whey, and the whey contains lactose. Dry curd cottage cheese or dry-pressed cottage cheese (like the Western cheese I buy in Toronto) contains no lactose. The Friendship product that is legal, Farmer's cheese, contains virtually no lactose. You can read about it at: http://friendshipdairies.com/products/story_farmer_cheese.php I think the Dairy Grocer at Whole Foods needs to read this too.
