Guest guest
Hi, thanks for the warm welcome. I recently had some results from an MRI that showed white matter lesions. The neurosurgeon ordered some blood tests to eliminate some other things and they were all clear. So now it seems that MS is a possibility. But I don't have that many symptoms, so he doesn't think there's much point doing a lumbar puncture unless I have further symtoms. Being a coward I was pretty happy to agree with that, lol. I am 49, I had the MRI because of headaches, and because at the time they found I couldn't smell through one nostril. I have also had 3 episodes of dizziness, a long time apart. The first lasted a week but the last two only a few hours.I also had some difficulties with speech with the last one. I've had various other things but they can all be equally explained by other things, eg. shoulder pain, back pain, restless legs (that's gone now),fatigue, memory problems. But no symptoms that really seem difinitively MS. Does anyone else have white matter lesions without many other symptoms, or any thoughts about that? Thanks Rose
