Guest guest
We only had Oreo 2 years. We were attached to him though. Every vet we called about Teddie, said they were full, and couldn't get him in until a week later. He had bloody stools, he couldn't wait a week. I even tried calling out of town, but everyone said they were full. I would have paid to try to save him. I think he would have had to been treated by a vet early on, in order for him to have had a chance. He was so weak and dehydrated, he could barely walk. He kind of drug his hind legs. We get our pet vax at the feed store here too. The only thing my cats need now is the peritonitis and rabies vax. I had them both tested for feline leukemia, worried that Oreo night have had it. They tested neg and promptly got their vax's. We were so relieved they were neg. We all expected them to be pos, because of all the difficult things we've experienced this year. Blessings, Trista >> Ohhh, Trista, I'm so sorry. You had Oreo for a long time, didn't you?> > Parvo is a horrible thing to see take a dog. We had a young dog (Tuff), not yet a year old, who died of Parvo. Awful, awful thing. He died in the car, outside the Vet's office. > Why wouldn't the Vet take Teddie??> > We buy the pet vax and other meds at a feed store. We're not allowed to do the rabies vax ourselves, though the town puts on a rabies clinic each year and charges a low rate. That's a good thing for those who need it.> > I am really, sorry to hear you lost your Oreo and Teddie, and both in a week's time.> > Hugs to you, Steve and your boys,> Challis> >
