Aleve is naproxen sodium. My daughter had to take it for tendonitis in

the feet. Within three days of starting naproxen sodium, she plunged

into a severe depression and had to be hospitalized. They said she'd be

hospitalized for at least two weeks and would need extensive follow up

therapy. While in the hospital, she did not get the naproxen sodium.

In three days, she had recovered and the docs couldn't explain the rapid

recovery. I brought her home and researched naproxen sodium. One of

the potential side effects is depression. Many people have used this

stuff for aches and pains with success, but just be careful - I think

people susceptible to depression should be very careful. Now, all that

said, I hope the aleve works for you!
