Guest guest
Yikes. Here's the short story: Earthquake Rattles El Salvador SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador (AP) - A strong earthquake rattled El Salvador today, sending tremors through a nation still recovering from a January temblor that killed hundreds. There were no immediate reports of damage or injury, but local radio stations said government helicopters were in the air to assess the damage. Residents of the capital fled into the streets in panic as the tremor hit shortly before 8:30 a.m (9:30 a.m. EST). Don Blakeman of the U.S. Geologic Survey in Golden, Colo. said today's quake had a preliminary magnitude of 5.7. Guest guest
Jeesh Joya! That's so scary! I've never experienced an earthquake and pray that I never do. I'll just stay here in Texas and dodge tornadoes. LOL I'm glad you're OK! Thanks, Amy...well at least it was a little one, but those poor people must have freaked out (I did and I am pretty far away!)...you stay pretty panicky for a long time after going through the big ones. I listened to the local radio but they didn't way where the epicenter is...the seismograph (yes, just one) in Honduras is down and has been for several months now.
