Guest guest
Dear FORUM, TSU in Chhattisgarh has been started by HLFPPT, with its main office in Bhopal. TSU in Chhattisgarh has a tough task ahead with loads of work to be done in terms of streamlining the TIs. The TI partners have not received funds for quite some time now and the work at the field level has also definetly been hampered. There also reports about some TIs being functional only at the level of reports and presentations. The change of Project Director had raised hopes about some changes in the HIV/AIDS scenario in the state. Although, lot of initiatives have been taken by the new Project Director but still a lot needs to be done if the objectives of NACP -III are to be achieved. TSU needs to cater to a wide range of issues from streamlining old TIs and starting new TIs as per the process and procedures suggested by NACO in a transparent and impartial manner to doing effective IEC, Training and Mainstreaming activities. With the SACS staff struggling over the question of their continuity or otherwise in SACS as the new recruitment process roles out and with the TSU staff being new to the state and administratively being operated from Bhopal, it does seem that it will take some time before the TSU can show results of its work. Lets fight the virus and not each other! Chhattisgarh AIDS Group E-MAIL: <cgaidsgroup@...>
Guest guest
Dear Forum It is happy to note that the Chhattisgarh AIDS Group is active nowaday. I had opportunity to interact with the Chhattisgarh SACS in connection with the Red Ribbon Express Campaign during December. The posting explains some critical areas which has to be addressed. I also agree to the point that the Chhattisgarh TSU will be having tough time ahead, before getting results. If any SACS lack capacity, the load of TSU will be higher. I request all concerned to give time and space for TSU team so that they can focus on their responsibillities and make results. If the authorities find them as a substitute for SACS, then no one can expect wonders from them. So let the TSU focus on their key areas. Chhattisgarh SACS will be strengthen soon, under the new leadership, we are sure. Jai Hind Ajai e-mail: <ajai.ksacs@...>
