Guest guest
My also had severe hypospadias. I wrote an article for the MAGIC newsletter about a year ago on our nightmare. I won't go into all the details now, but will tell you to go to a big hospital in a large city and get references from previous patients. We ended up in Boston at the Childrens Hospital with world renowned surgeon Dr. Hardy Hendren doing a total revision to the previous botched jobs. He is an excellant surgeon, but of course no bedside manner. The surgery went fine, but we continued to see him for a year later because was " leaking " and they couldn't figure out why. Finally they put a scope up in and found scar tissue that they removed with a laser. He has been doing very well since. I'm still very aware that things could crop up again, but so far so good. It's been almost 5yrs. My son is 10yrs. now and we are still dealing with emotional stuff because of the botched jobs. Get it done early and by a surgeon that has seen a lot of these kids. By the way my son never used the cream, but I've been questioned on this because he has a lg. penis size for his body, but small testicles. Feel free to e-mail me privatly. Pat- Mom to G.
