Guest guest
I'll have to check out the news later and see if this is a record low day for temp in Ks in August. It's hard to believe but today in my work truck the temp has been 70 last week this time of day the temp was between 100 and 112. We had a storm front move through Ks . It sure was nice this weekend. We are working on our other house without the air conditioning on. I am getting ready to move into it by myself. We had stored a bunch of stuff from his dads house a few weeks ago, even though I told him I didn't want to put his dad's stuff there. I know his dad had to sell his extra house in order to get things where they need to be for mom to go on to medicare at the rest home. They have to get rid of a certain amount of assets. But we knew when we moved the stuff into my house that with our bankruptsy coming up that we might have to move into it ourselves. With the high temp and humidity the last couple of weeks and husband forgetting to go back up and clear out water in fridge after the ice melted and some of the stuff from his dads having mold on the boxes from a roof leak at their place. Well before I can move in we not only have to remove all his dads things to a storage unit, but I am having to clorox down the walls, ceilings and cubboards and doors. We had mold/ mildew starting up on the surfaces. Thank goodness I caught it early and it hasn't penetrated into the finishes on the doors etc. It's just a pain in the butt to have to do all that extra work. The house sat empty with no problems for two years and just 3 weeks of his dads stuff and hubby not doing something I reminded him 3 different times when he was going up there to mow and I have a mess to deal with. In some ways I can't wait to move on my own for a while.
