Guest guest
Dear listmates: I've finished my first batch of goat-milk yogurt, and am looking forward to SLOWLY working my way into being able to eat it. I've been having problems with the cows milk yogurt I made, so I'm trying the goat's milk. I decided to use Yogourmet's Freeze-dried yogurt starter, instead of Dannon's yogurt, because I wanted to stay away from the cow's milk completely. BUT, I was reading the ingredients on the yogurt starter, and it lists: Skim milk powder sucrose ascorbic acid lactic bacteria (l. bulgaricus, S. thermophilus, L acidophilus) Is the sucrose in the starter going to cause me problems? I noticed that the breakingtheviciouscycle website lists sucrose as an ingredient in fruits and vegetables, many of which are legal. If the sucrose IS going to cause a problem, does anyone have advice about where to get starter that doesn't contain sucrose? Thank you, as always!!!
