Guest guest
Phil, I am with you in that hot, hot tub. That's the only thing that has ever calmed my skin. I have always thought of it as " distracting " the itch. When I got mosquito bites as a child, I would dig my fingernails into the bumps, & the pain would make the itch stop, at least for a while. The hot water burns a lot at first, especially if I've scratched a lot & my skin is inflamed, but after a minute or two - relief! It seems we're divided into two groups on this point: (a) those who get worse in hot water & ( those who get better. We're also in two groups as far as other illnesses are concerned: © those who hardly ever get sick but whose hives go away when that rare other illness strikes, & (d) those whose hives are worse when they're sick with something else. There may be some other divisions as well. Come on. Help me think of some of the other questions we've all asked each other. There are probably some e's & f's to compare, as well as some g's & h's. I would love to see how everyone answers questions about their conditions, to see what common factors we have. Would we be divided into two groups, three groups, or more? Which questions would be the key ones that divide the group? I feel that gathering answers to questions like this could help to reveal some of the answers - or at least put some clues together & get close to answers - about our condition. For example, something like those who answer b, c, & x, y, z (whatever) have an autoimmune condition. Those who answer m, n, o, p have an allergic condition. Let's keep sharing & comparing. I believe the only way we'll ever get any answers is to do it ourselves. Fondly, Peggy in Kentucky
