In your experience, could clinic depression be related to MS? Could it be origined by MS? Could it be a trigger for MS?

I ask this because, for those who don't know or might not remember, my boyfriend's been MS diagnosed for almost 10 years. I've noticed in the relapses I've witnessed that a common trigger is stress (family problems, unemployment and debts). During these last days he's been very depressed and I'm worried because he's getting like enclosed in his issues and not letting me help him...

Hi ,

I personally have never met anyone with MS who has not experienced depression. I was dx'd with depression a couple of years back. I do believe that depression is one of the symptoms.

I hope you are able to get him to make an appointment with either his GP or Neurologist to see about getting treatment for this. Depression is not something I would take too lightly.

I'll lift him in prayer and you also.

Depression is certainly a symptom of MS. But, depression can be caused by many other factors, too. In my case, I find depression to result from other factors associated with MS. For example, if I can't get to sleep (a symptom of MS), I can get very depressed.

In the case of your BF, how long does the depression last? Personally, I think if it is only a day, then it's not necessarily a serious problem. We all get depressed at times and it's normal. But, if it lasts for long periods or is triggered easily, then some type of therapy may be necessary.

Depression is not uncommon in MS, just as with any such disease. Does your bf take any anti-depressants? Would he be willing to make an appointment with his doctor to discuss this?

Thanks for all the good wishes, let me tell you that my BF (for 5 years and aredy commited) broke up with me yesterday. As a part of his depression, he's doubting about his love for me and pushedme away. You might imagine how destroyed I feel right now, and I'm looking for answers everywere... We had the most beautiful relationship so I hope he'll come back not too late...

Im so sorry your bf left. Maybe he just needs some time and will be

back soon. My bf is bi-polar. He gets depressed and a million other

emotions. And im very ill. Always a fear in the back of my mind that he

will leave. I know he loves me I just know its all alot to handle. And

then his illness on top of it all can be so overwelming. Im sure your

bf misses you and your guys's life together. Maybe he is like my bf in

a way and the depression is not only bringing him down but confusing

him. Sometimes all those emotions take over and we dont really realize

what we are doing. Hang in there,it sounds like you two really love

eachother. I will be praying for you both

He did this before, 4-5 years ago, in Seattle. I'm not totally surprised...once a cheater...I am heartbroken nonetheless. I still love his worthless ass. I will be ok. Robbin will stay with me. Yep, I've never met a cheater who has been reformed. What he did was cowardly. What was his excuse? The ol'..."It's not you, it's me?" Or "I fell in love with someone else, I don't love you anymore"? Both excuses are lame to say the least.

I know how much you love this .......poor example of the male species. But, Akiba, a man would never do this to you. You have devoted 12 years of your life. You gave him a son. And now, you have to give up your home as well? That's just not right. I wish there was some way you could stay and keep your home. Make him move closer to you. You shouldn't have to move closer to him. Why should he have everything his way? You didn't ask for this.

I better stop now. I'm not a real big fan of the male species as it is.(Sorry guys, been hurt too.. Does it show?)

OmG! The nerve of him! How dare he do this. Im so sorry sweetie. You

deserve so much more. If hes going to do this to you forget him. I know

its hard and so heartbreaking but there is someone out there that would

never ever think about doing this to you. You are such a wonderful

It is obvious.he does love him. And keeping them close is the right

thing to do. I just wish he didnt do this to you. And why cant he move

back to live in your city? Did he just meet this girl? I know I would

feel awful if i vbroke up someones family. I hope they both feel

horrible. You are strong you can make it. And you wont have to put up

with him anymore. Lucky you. I know he did alot of good too,im just

mad right now. I hope one day he realizes his mistake and hopefully

it will be to late and you will have met someone that treats you

Depression

In your experience, could clinic depression be related to MS? Could it

be origined by MS? Could it be a trigger for MS?

I ask this because, for those who don't know or might not remember, my

boyfriend's been MS diagnosed for almost 10 years. I've noticed in the

relapses I've witnessed that a common trigger is stress (family

problems, unemployment and debts).During these last days he's been very

depressed and I'm worried because he's getting like enclosed in his

issues and not letting me help him...0D

It's the refrain (below), and part of the first verse (first two lines):Danish:"Hun er bare min store kærlighedDer blir større, der blir ved og vedSmuk som et stjerneskudSom tiden gårSmukkere ser hun ud år efter år"My (quite literal) translation:"She's just my greatest loveIt grows, and it just stays on and onBeautiful as a falling starAs time goes byShe's ever more beautifulYear after year" The first lines of the song is also a lot more beautiful (in my opinion) in the original Danish version than in the official English version.My literal translation of the first verse:"In the warm nightfilled with the dream thathappiness will last foreverThe moon shines through the windowon a woman's body, yes,and on her beautiful face"[Danish: "I den varme nat Fyldt med drømmen atLykken varer evigtLyser månen opPå en kvindekrop, jah.Og hendes smukke ansigt"]In the official English version it's:"In the summer nightWhen the moon shines brightFeeling love foreverAnd the heat is onWhen the daylight is gone" It's kind of more banal, in my opinion. Our "city" is a teeny town. It's better if we go there because winter here is very harsh and it would be impossible for my to do it alone. I can't say that he doesn't love him. But, children need a positive role model(in this case, male) along with female, someone to set good examples, and stability. Seeing you hurting can't be making Robbin feel too good. I don't know how much he knows or even if he understands, but I do know children are very sensitive to emotions, no matter how much we try to hide them.

You may be right, moving may be a better solution. But, I would make sure I do it to better my situation, and make it easier on my child. I would not do it because it would make matters more convenient for my cheating husband.

I've already seen my daughter do this more than once, and believe me the kids are no better off now than they were before. In fact, is has lead to some very negative acting out.

I hope, if you decide to make this move, it will be positive for both you and Robbin. Personally, I don't know how you can do it alone anywhere you go. I do know that you are more resouceful than me, so I'm sure you'll do what you need to do. In any case, I'll be praying for you.

Robbin is very aware if what is going on )even is we haven't had "the birds and bees talk" with him. He is actually doing better then I am, though he does come to me for hugs a bit more often. He'll be just fine, after all he IS my son and carries my strength and stubborn optimism. The move will be positive because I will MAKE it positive. My main problem as far as the move is, Rob will be living in a nice house with a lover. I will be living in (probably) an apartment and sleeping alone. It feels like he is being rewarded for his transgressions and I am being punished for them. He is gaining a new family and I am losing my home, AND my husband.
