Hi! I text messaged Cassy lastnight to see how she is doing, and asked her why we hadn't heard from her in awhile. She said she's been pretty sick since Christmas eve. She said she's starting to feel a little better now, and hopes to be back online soon. I hope she has a speedy recovery and is able to join us again in the near future. Thanks Sharon! Your so sweet!I think im a complainer though.lol.I am

back!Missed you guys! I got sick xmas eve and didnt start getn better

till a few days ago.I spent xmas on the bathroom floor!even slept

there.Had it coming from both ends.Seen the doc and she thought it was

the flu/virus and gave me reglan to stop neasuea and vomiting.It was

pretty bad.But the worse was only seeing the girls open a few gifts.:(I

hope you all had a great christmas and new year!

Hi Val! Thanks for letting everyone know. wasnt sure when I could get

back online.I was so sick it was pathetic.lol. Now im back to the same

alot.I have been sleeping alot lately and getting over this sickness my

Ahh. Akiba! Your such a sweetie!I was very ill starting x-mas eve.Slept

on the bathroom floor.Got up in the middle of the night to potty and

next thing I new I was pukn in the tub and couldnt stop.Missed

christmas and the days after.Finally started to feel a lil better the

day before yesterday.I dont really use the im.Was to ill to get online

at all.Val tex'd my cell.If you got a cell you could tex or if anyone

likes could call.I new you guys would be worried I jus couldnt even get

outa bed or do anything.On the 5th day my mom bathed me and took me the

doc.It was awful.but im back now.and man did i miss you all!

Thanks n! This is definetly true! At least in my case anyway. I

remember last yr. I was almost as sick just a few days after christmas.

I think I MAY get the flu shot next yr. I will find some way to avoid

it because I will not miss out ever again like that for any holiday

with my girls. It was just awful. I swear I thought I would die.Besides

My normal sickly self I have never been that ill,especially for that

many days. How was your holidays? Happy new year!

I am doing fine. Winding down from the holidays. Had family over Christmas eve. It went well but it was stressful. Too many people in a relatively small house but we made due. This was the 2nd year at my house. The In-laws are getting too old to do Christmas at their house. They finally realized that on Thanksgiving. So it looks like it will be a yearly thing for us. That's ok as long as I know ahead of time that I need to prepare and now I know that I will need tables and chairs so we have to rent them or buy them. We were alone on New Years Eve and today. I am here! Im ok! Was very sick but now im back to my usual sick

self.lol. I havnt heard from im very worried about her. I havnt

seen her post on the other group we are on together and i havnt been

Im Glad you made it. Holidays can be stressful hu? I felt so bad I

was so sick I couldnt help my mom and sis cook. Didnt even get to taste

it. thats true. At least you will have the yr. To get the things

together.Have you ever seen freecycle? I bet you could get some tables

and chairs free from there. I got my 9yr.old a brand new desk off

there.Free! I love freebies.lol. I joined all the freecycles in my

area.lol. Im glad you are having a quiet peaceful new years! Rest and

Cassy, I really hope that you are healthy next year. It was probably hard to see everyone preparing for Christmas dinner but I am sure that your family understood, especially since your mom had to give you a bath and take you to the dr's. You must have been really really bad. I have never heard of freecycle but I will investigate it. We would really like to get some freebies. We hardly ever get that lucky. We borrowed tables from my husband's work. No chairs but my father-in-law borrowed them from his neighbor. Was just too many things for me to remember...who was bringing what and how many things do we need, whewwww! We have a nice fire going and we are relaxing now. I got all my housework done and laundry too. Whoohooo! Nah I really don't think I am old. LOL I am just on a

schedule. I go to bed the same time every night and wake up the same time every morning. It works for me Staying up after 11:30 pm is a lot of work sometimes. But we made it. LoL. I have a schedule too. And my days are sooo predictable.lol. I was

filling out my social security paperwork and my mom was helping and

they ask what do I do all day? I filled it out and my mom was like wow!

You really dont do anything all day.lol. She gets so mad at the docs

its funny.She says those damn doctors always say there gonna do this

and that and never call! Then she says thats it! Im calling

them.lol.Freecycle is awesome! I got my Mils gift and sisters gift from

it.A brand new set of avon perfume with a body mouse and a brand new

bath and body lotion and spray.I have got so much stuff on it.If you go

to yahoo and search freecycle and put your city it will show it.And it

says you can start 1 if there isnt 1 already.Im happy to hear you were

able to do that stuff.I hope it didnt wipe you out.I am a lousy cleaner

I can't imagine what's it's like to fill out all that paperwork. I did some medical paperwork for accidental insurance for myself and my step-daughter and it was a pain in the @#$. It took me weeks. Also our flexible spending acct. denied some claims and of course, the end of the year so I had to prove it was legit. Still waiting if they will accept my receipts. My days are pretty predictable too. I am doing more cleaning now bcs I had to do a lot before the christmas party and I want to stay on top of it now that it's done. It won't be so hard to clean in the future. I just hope I can keep up. The kids can trash the house in 15 minutes, argggggggg! I am doing pretty good keeping it clean. I always have things put aways and picked up but "cleaning" has not been my priority in the last few years. I used to be a cleaning nut...."OCD" but it's calmed down since I started

having back problems really bad. The kids don't help either so I had to ignore a lot of things bcs it would drive me crazy. All that cleaning and cooking and preparing was a lot of work but surprisingly I am not wiped out yet. I am so glad that I am not. I still have to take down all the decorations and start getting paperwork ready for taxes. That's at least a couple of weeks preparation. I have everything on spreadsheets but I haven't updated since August. I don't think it will be that bad though. My files don't looked that filled up. I will definitely look into the freecycle. Wow I had no idea you could get all those things free. What's the catch??? It's nice to know that you can still get things free in this world. Don't feel bad about your "lack" of cleaning. It'll get done when you have a good day or so. I used to worry worry

I hope it gets settled.Sounds like you had alot of paperwork too.The

initial paperwork for ssi wasnt so bad but then the disabilty people

sent me like 3 or 4 packs and want it in 10days!and my mom had to fill

1 out to.Im like geez they dont give enough time!I use to be ocd with

cleaning and cooking too then I got sick and jus seen it go to hell.Now

I look around and visually it drives me nuts.lol.and my kids and

b-friend make it worse,even knowing they will be the ones cleaning most

of it.lol.No catch for freecycle.Its awesome.You join,and when someone

posts what you want you respond.Quick though cuz someone else can get

it.And then when someone else asks for sumthn and if you have it then

you can pass it on to them.I have passed a few things or replied and

donated but not as much as ive recieved.But thats ok.lol.In my town

thers this lady that does volunteer work for families in need and when

my kids outgrow or dont need sumthn I will call her and she picks up

That really sounds great. I always have things to be donated and we are in need of some things that are out of reach financially. I can't wait to try it. Thanks for the info. Don't get too stressed out with the paperwork. Boy, they really ask for way too much when it's your own money that you will receive from ssi uh? They can take it but they won't give it out when it is really needed. I go crazy too and then I run around behind them picking everything up. Especially when I have a really neat and clean house to begin with. Other times I just have to not look or ignore it bcs I will drive myself crazy. You tell the boyfriend and the kids to pick up after themselves or you won't be a happy girl (wink). It probably won't happen though. I don't understand why people can't put things back where they find it or just pick up after

themselves. I just don't get it. I even put up a sign on the frig. but my husband took it down bcs it's a constant reminder to keep the house clean and neat. He didn't like it. to know that you can still get things free in this world. Don't feel bad about your "lack" of cleaning. It'll get done when you have a good day or so. Lol. About the note on the fridge. I have made so many of those and

chore lists and noone ever followed or listened.Yup.not much we can do.

Especially these days,I dont do much so you would think they would

realize its only makn there lives harder and learn to keep it up.My mom

will come over and clean my whole house,next day looks like a huricane

hit.lol.B-friend has been helpn alot but I guess this place just isnt

big enough for us and all are junk.lol. Maybe I should do a freecycle

sweep.lol.Ya.You should definetly join.I always feel like im getting

the best gift when I get a freebie.lol.And when I get a good deal at

the goodwill.I have even got some goodies people were throwing

Christmas was OK. Just a nice quiet day with just Tom and I. We had a nice dinner and watched some movies. Didn't see any of my children. Of course, and live in Idaho, so I didn't expect to see them. I did hear from though. e as you know, moved a couple hundred miles away from me and spent Christmas with her children and boyfriend. My son was supposed to come and stay with me for the Christmas vacation. He didn't. Guess he just doesn't want anything to do with his mother anymore. Oh I know...I've been hearing it from everyone I talk to. He's 15. He's got other things on his mind and he's not thinking about the needs of his family right now. Hormones are surging and he's all about the girls and his friends. Blah, blah, blah. Sorry, I just don't buy it. I didn't raise him to be disrespectful and uncaring. I'm just going to have to face the fact, that in his eyes, I'm just not a good

mother and he'd rather not have anything to do with me. What can I do? I'm not going to give up on him, but I can't force him either. So, I'm just praying for him. Someday he's going to be a man. And someday, he'll see things a little differently. That is my prayer. Any who...It's all good and I'll be alright. Guess what we got for New Years? A nice little visit from the former Mrs. T. Lee. Yippee! <sarcasm> She found out where we moved to and popped in on us to see what she could get out of Tom. The whole time she was here, it was nothing but, "Ohhh. awww...what a nice home YOU have here. This is really nice. Musta set you back some." The stupid woman actually has it in her mind that we bought this place! Good grief! I don't know who she used to be married to, but it obviously must have been someone other than the person I married. Because, right now, he doesn't even have a pot to pee in. We

didn't even bother to correct her. In fact, we let her know that she isn't welcomed here and if she was thinking about harassing us, she may want to make other plans. Tom is going to go down and put a restraining order on her. I can't wait for our phone to start ringing. I'm pretty sure she made a beeline to her lawyer. She already called Tom's daughter and told her about the "rich" house that Tom bought, and that she was going to make sure she got more alimony from him. This is going to be a riot when it all back fires on her. I don't wish any thing bad on the vengeful soul. But, I do hope she gets hit hard by the truth. Tom is taking all this pretty hard. Harder than necessary. It's pretty obvious that he needs his meds. But, I'm so tired of his little temper tantrums right now. I'm just going to take care of what needs to be done myself. Once he's back on the meds he'll see that there's nothing to

worry about, and that his ex doesn't have a leg to stand on. The first thing he said to me after she left was, "We're not staying here. We're moving, I don't want her knowing where we live." I told him, "Ok, you go ahead, but I'm not letting anyone control me that way. I will live where I want to live. I'm not going to let her or anyone scare me into hiding for no reason." After thinking about what I said for awhile, he finally said, "You're right. Why should we move?" I haven't heard from my brothers in months. Mark is still living in the same place. He doesn't call. My dad called me the other day and said he talked to Cordell and said he sounded like he had been drinking again. (No surprise) When my daughter invited me to his 30 day sobriety party, I told her that I thought it was too soon to have a party for him. Man, sometimes I hate being right. She said Cordell called her the week before

Christmas asking for money because he didn't have money for Christmas. What kind of garbage is that? To call your niece asking for money? What happened to his job? e was practically homeless herself at the time, with four children. She too said he sounded like he was drinking. Well, that's what's going on in my neck of the woods. With all the chaos going on around me, I'm still doing well. My health seems to be getting better. I'm loving my new living arrangements. I'm even walking more! I went on a 3 mile walk the other day for the first time in years. I was sore the rest of the day, but I'm not complaining. I loved it! I hope you and your family are doing well. Last New Year's day, both Robbin and I were as sick as you just described. It was awful! And Rob was away, and the water pump had popped off, so we had no water to drink or wash (or flush) Rob came home to a real mess!
