The poor girl. I think havn to sleep on thebathroom floor is 1 of the worst

things. Is it your nephew Greg that has MD? Or was that your brother? I only

talked to him a few times Once the idiot specialist told me md was outa the

question I figured I was jumpn the gun and didnt want to waste his time or seem

paranoid. Now. What do ya know! The cardio thinks I have a rare muscle disease!I

have been crying alot the past few days and must say it sucks.Guess when it

rains it pours.

Rare muscular disease? What is it? Thinks? You need confirmation! So you know you DON'T have it and can put your mind at ease. These Dr's just don't THINK before they speak! Rob called my GP this morning trying to get something a little stronger for pain, she passed the buck, saying I had "very complicated MS". Bull. I have MS, I have arthritis and I have scholiosis. What is SO dang complicated about that? I am in a lot of pain. Straightforward. So she says she will make me an appt with the Neuro...this is going to achieve what? More testing? More painful testing, to do what? I hurt. That's it. I need something for it. How is that SO DANG HARD FOR THEM TO *GET*???? Sorry. This wasn't about me. It was about you. Please keep us appraised. Yes Greg has MD. His older brother also has MD as did his younger brother. His younger brother committed suicide in the early 90s. What have you been crying about? About being sick? I thought that was him.I would love to talk to him again.Can you

re-give me his email.:) It is just tough.Me being sick,we are very

broke and me and Rene have been fighting way to much.He has been a jerk

lately.I had to apply for aid today because we dont have not 1 cent.His

mom is trying to help with rent(or we will be evicted)last nite he went

for grocerys and they declined our bank card due to no funds.Today he

borowed $ for that from a friend.His unemployment wont come till after

the 10th and in the meantime we are piled on bills and no $.We have

borowed from my mom and she donated 25$ more tonight and my gma sent

50$.So,we have to go next wk on thurs.to see the worker about aid and

food stamps.It all jus sucks.I wanna say to heck with it,pack me and

the girls up and runaway and leave him to deal with this mess.If only I

was healthy I just might.Well,at least we got the grocerys.They held

the cart of grocerys in the fridge overnight for us.:)We have never

been this broke.hugz

WTH!? Why couldnt she have just called something into the pharmacy? You

see!? I strongly dislike docs(I didnt say hate;)) thats a bunch of

bs.The thing that really upsets me about docs is how they minimize the

situation. Dosnt really matter to them,to them it cant possibly be that

bad.{{{Akiba}}im so sorry.any word from neuro?bug em like crazy

k.Oh.ya.He thinks I have a rare muscle disease on top of the autonomic

disease,tn,and visual defect.He was supose to order more tests,of

course no word yet.Mentiond biopsy still nuthn.When I seen my pcp and

told her of me havn to wait to she said she was gonna order the muscle

biopsy.Shes never ordered 1 either but told me dont worry she will

figure it out with the nurses help and have it done soon.And she is

also helping manage my pain.She thinks this a little bit longer to

order more tests wile I quickly progress game is a bunch of crap,and

she will do everything in her power to help me feel better and get this

Im sorry Akiba. Well,did she call the neuro? Sometimes it helps to be a

pain in there but. Harass them till they help. Im sure then they will

call sumthn in. You need sumthn to relieve some immediate pain. Dosnt

lyrica take a few wks to take full effect? Hope im wrong. Im prayn and

if theres anything I can do to help just let me know k.

Not so far. So far all she's done is pass the buck. And I have been on Lyrica, but I am out and haven't taken it in a week or more. Yes, I need something for pain, but don't know what. Thankyou Val! I appreciate it and especially the prayers.I know god

heres them all and I know we will be blessed somehow.The other night I

was laying in bed crying so hard.Feeling bad for myself and our

situation.I let my heart pour out to jesus and asked him for strength

and told him I know hes here and im not losing faith but I really need

him to take me by the hand and show me the way. After my prayer I felt

an amazing feeling. Almost like a hug. I just know he took my hand and

let me know in my heart all would be ok.It will.I know it will.luv ya

Cassy, Most people see a result in their pain level in one week. I know that bcs I was just at the doctors and I was reading the articles they have in the offices and it had an article about Lyrica for MS and also for Fibromyalgia. I am on only 75 mg twice a day. Not a big dose but with that and my other meds I take, the pain level is tolerable most of the time. I do have times it's unbearable and I just cry. I can't believe a doctor wouldn't call Lyrica in for a patient. Geez, it's not like it's percocet or dilaudid. My gosh. I hope the doctor somes something for Akiba bcs it's not right to just not give anything to someone in pain like that. Fortunetely I have a good family doctor that manages my pain well with a series of meds., not just Lyrica. Keep on the doctor Akiba. They will get sick of you calling and will do something

Ya.youd think they would give her that and something else till it

reaches its efficiency or whatever. Ahh. I know what you mean . I

have lots of crying days due to pain and weakness. It took me a long

time of suffering on my part and the doctors till my pain started to be

managed.Before I was like I dont want this or that or narcotics and my

pcp was bringing me in once every 2 wks. To follow up on my pain etc. I

was like this is to much.Im housebound and cannot do this.My pcp left

practice and I got a new 1 in his office.My ins. Dosnt cover pain

management but she said thats ok. I can help you with that and

explained about all my options.So,now some days my pain is manageable

but most the meds only take off the edge.Seems to be getting worse so I

think thers only so much the meds will ever do for me.Its just

ridiculous what people have to go threw though.Like give me a break. We

are talking about chronic illness not a fix.Its just sickening.I would

die without my pcp shes on it about everything.

Well,for now hes laid off but his boss cant guarantee work anytime

soon.Good thing is he hasnt had to turn in his work truck so maybe his

boss thinks itl pick back up.He is looking into other companies through

the union though.1 of them pays a dollar more and have alot of work

right now. Yes.thankgod for assistance.We have to go next wk. On thurs.

At 7:30 am!To see a worker and apply.When I went they gave me an appt

and had me fill out a few things but the lady said they were so booked

that was the soonest.She gave us a bag of stuff,with cans and some

juices.Everything was expired! Figures. But we have enough food to get

by so will be ok. Renes mom is gonna help with rent.She even said if we

wanna move she'l help us.(we are havn some issues here) and my mom has

been helpn alot too.I wanted to ask you or Akiba for that website were

Akiba found her place.Do you guys have it still?

No one should have to be in extreme pain when there are meds out there to control it. Yes, sometimes the meds help and sometimes they don't. It is a nice feeling knowing their are family physicians more willing to help in some cases, more than the pain management doctors. I think mine has seen me go through so much he really doesn't question anything anymore.....not like he really did in the first place but I had to have a reason to take the meds I do obviously when I was a new patient. I so Agree! Thats why meds are made. Im glad I have a good pcp too.

Thats how my pcp is to. Last visit she told me she is so sorry for what

im going threw and to let her know if I need anything. To call her or

come in or whatever I want and that she wishes there was more she could

do to help.I just love when a doc has heart. And she f/u with me about

the cardio and I told her about the testing the university wants to do

yet how they take forever doing it. So,she decided she would order a

muscle biopsy. She had never ordered one but said she would figure it

out with the help of the nurses and get it done. I was so happy!My old

pcp was good but said the specialist had to order the biopsy.So I was

relieved. If its a muscle disease I have the biopsy should show

something.

Cassy, My pcp is really nice and we get along very well. He is exactly my age too so we talk about other things (don't worry he is married and I am married) (wink). It's strictly a professional relationship although he likes to know what's going on in mine and my twin sisters life because he can relate. He has small kids and mine are grown so he talks about raising them. I never see him or talk to him outside the office but I do sent him birthday cards and christmas cards....sometimes if I can afford it a gift. My twin sister gets him a gift all the time bcs she can afford it. She has no kids, just one dog and her husband makes the big bucks. My husband makes a decent living and we have good medical insurance and so on but with giving money to his ex for 3 kids, medical, dental, accidental, life insurance that he has to keep on himself in case he dies before the last child is 18 he can still pay

his child support, life insurance for me and him for me, 401k and fed and state taxes he brings home only 35% of his pay. I paid out this year over $9,000 in out of pocket medical expenses bcs my husband is a diabetic, his daughter is also and I have a lot of medical bills too. Its crazy. Anyhoo......The doctor gets us mixed up sometimes and it's funny. He blushes just like he did when he thanked me for the christmas card when I seen him yesterday. It's funny to see a doctor blush. What's going on with your muscles. I have read a little here and there (more so in the last few days) what kind of muscle disease do they think it is...fibromyalgia? Just wondering. I can't imagine how much pain you are in on a daily basis. I am so glad that you can pretty much get what you need for the pain. There are not many doctors in this world that you and I describe. I didnt know you had a twin sister!Cool!I know what ya mean about health

expenses and child support.Mine has 2 other kids.Well the docs first thought i

had devics disease,was ruled out.Then I was seen by this doc thats like house he

discoverd i had autonomic dysfunction,so Im seing cardio having more tests and

turns out its complicated.He thinks I hav a rare muscle disease with the auto

dysfunction.I also have TN and a visual field defect.

Cassy, Sorry, I normally don't tell people I have an identical twin sister, although I told Val bcs she has twins. So, it has been an interesting life. Yeah, we only have 5 1/2 years to go whoo hoo! Geez you have been through a lot but we are glad that you are in the group bcs you have someone or many to talk to even on your bad days. Thanks ! I pray for you every night too along with everyone here.

Ya. We have 3 yrs. For 1 and 8 for another. Still alot but time goes

quick. Ya. Im hoping the cardio is wrong. He is very good. A university

doc but I have learned that they can be wrong too. Hopefully I will

know soon. I dont know what id do without all you. I would be lost to

say the least. I came here when I thought I had ms then my neuro

thought i had Devics then I just stayed. I havnt found support anywere

like I have here. True genuine understanding. More then I coulda ever

Cassy, Sorry, I normally don't tell people I have an identical twin

sister, although I told Val bcs she has twins. So, it has been an

interesting life. Yeah, we only have 5 1/2 years to go whoo hoo! Geez

you have been through a lot but we are glad that you are in the group

bcs you have someone or many to talk to even on your bad days. Boy, I

hope it's not what the doctor really thinks it is., You have so many

problems to deal with already. I will pray for you again just like last
